About

Live in Wonder yoga classes are a great way to reconnect with yourself, get to know your body, and create clarity of mind. Find greater freedom and function in your movement, and re-centre with mindful meditation.

ALISSA SMITH

Alissa’s focus is on functional flow for workplace yoga classes and social gatherings. In this fast-paced world of stress and distractions coupled with sedentary lifestyles, she encourages people to find ease in their body with intuitive movements and internal awareness.

After a full-time career in graphic design, Alissa understand the effects a sedentary desk job has on the physical body and mind state. Having now found harmony between both jobs, she is sharing her knowledge and experience with the corporate world and those who are in need of better balance in their lives. Wonder Yoga classes are tailored around the needs of the participants. Sessions include contemporary flow yoga, postures that challenge but are accessible to all, and conclude with mindful meditation.

Teaching from the heart, her goal is to share the enjoyment and passion that she feels in yoga. She wants to support people to love their body and appreciate all it is capable of. Alissa enjoys teaching to all levels of fitness, age and flexibility, and receives great satisfaction from seeing each person’s progress and achievements. She is fascinated by the synchronicity of breath and movement, and hopes you will be inspired too!

As well as teaching mobile yoga classes with Wonder Yoga, Alissa is a Les Mills BODYBALANCE® group fitness instructor in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Additionally, she has taught children at Yogi Kids – working with children is extremely fulfilling, and a lot of fun!

LUCY TOFIELD

Lucy completed her yoga training with Contemporary Yoga and has experience teaching in studios, gyms and working with private clients. She is also trained in Somatic Movement and likes to bring this into her teaching. Her classes are designed with different movement abilities in mind and are at a slower pace to allow for inner awareness and accessibility.

Lucy’s classes are trauma-informed and options are given throughout. Her aim is to make yoga as accessible as possible. Regardless of your capabilities or experience with yoga, there is a space waiting for you in her class.
